You are welcome, Sarani Ghosal!
I had the pleasure of meeting Monica Ali and would not say that she is a feminist and her latest novel "In the Kitchen" has a male as the leading character.
-But if you enjoyed her novel "Brick Lane", then you should try and watch the movie, which I highly recommend. The movie "Brick Lane" is avaible on amazon.co.uk.
Best wishes

Thank you Ms Lone C for such a penetrating write up on Monica Ali.Few days back I finished her debut novel, and I'm planning to work on her.Feminist Criticism was my special paper during my post Graduation, naturally I love to read novels written by women writers,as their perspectives help us understand the socity we live in.Their fight against the patriarchy motivate us immensely.I personally feel that women writers are very subtle and sensitive.
